The HSX-RAY® is already todays most innovative systems for automated defect analysis of medium X-ray technology of very large components.
This application has been developed specifically for use of non-destructive analysis of defects of the rotor blades of wind turbines.
The plant is designed for the rapid and accurate detection, visualization and documentation of flaws in the rotor blade.
Especially the connection areas between the belts and half-shells, air pockets and blowholes, delamination or marcelsis the most common causes for blade damages.
The HSX-RAY® is characterized by the following features, making it unique in the market:
- Rapid testing and documentation of the blade quality
- Defects analysis of rotor blades of different lengths (up to 80m) and root diameter (up to 5m)
- High detail recognition of minimum 400 mu
With this new system of quality assurance damaged blades are already sperated in advance or deficiencies repaired prior to leaving the factory.
Thereby failures of the wind turbines due to blade damages are reduced to a minimum, productivity is increased (through reduced downtime), and the costs for exchanging rotor blades avoided to a large dergree.
